IRVINE, CA-- Laser and photonics developer Newport Corporation has extended the expiration of their successful “The Right Solutions. The Right Price. Right Now.” promotional campaign to July 31 to allow more U.S. customers to take advantage of this incentive program. The program, originally started on March 23, rewards customers with free “Photonics Product Certificates” that can be used toward additional purchases in the future, either online or in conjunction with other purchase orders. “We really want to get the message out, especially in this tough economic climate, that Newport is helping researchers maximize their purchasing power,” said Jim Fisher, group director of Newport’s Vibration Control business. “To that end, we’re extending the incentive through the end of July,” he added.

Newport launched “The Right Solutions. The Right Price. Right Now.” campaign to highlight its newly broadened offering of photonic products and solutions, incentive programs, and commitment to shorter lead times. The promotional campaign includes a purchase rewards program that offers customers a free $50 Newport Photonic Product Certificate (PPC) with $1,000 in qualifying purchases, which equates to 5% in free product. The purchase reward levels increase with the purchase amount up to a maximum of $3,850 in free PPC with a $35,000 purchase--11% in free product. A second component of the promotion includes a product reward “rebate” where additional PPCs can be earned by purchasing selected products. These certificates can be redeemed for subsequent product purchases online or used in conjunction with traditional purchases on a full range of Newport products.

“What has been great about this program is that all on-line orders of $1,000 or more automatically receive these ‘rewards’ and these same PPCs awarded online can be redeemed online also,” said Fisher. “This dramatically and simultaneously increases both the customer’s buying power and ease of acquisition. We have seen many customers receive in excess of 15% more product because of this special promotion and in this economic climate that additional support really helps stretch their budgets more than ever before.” For traditional purchase orders, customers need to request this promotion (coded “W1”) specifically since there may be several promotional offers available.

Originally in effect until June 12, 2009, the incentive campaign has been extended until July 31, 2009 and applies to the purchase of any standard photonics products within Newport’s opto-mechanics, optics, vibration control, motion control, or photonic instrumentation offerings. The only products not included in the incentive are lasers and specialty or custom items. At the “Right Solutions. Right Price. Right Now.” Web page at www.newport.com/RightNow2009, a table shows PPC values for various purchases--plus other details related to the program.

“Newport is now offering its comprehensive selection of photonics components, systems and solutions, at varying price levels, to help our customers innovate, while making efficient use of their limited budgets. We are also offering a guaranteed delivery on a very broad range of products,” said Newport’s VP of Worldwide Sales & Service Gary Spiegel. “We developed this unique, multifaceted program to address the immediate needs of our research community in the U.S.”
