The Quartet miniature fluorescence microscope from Neurescence (Toronto, ON, Canada) with a data-collection software package performs simultaneous calcium imaging in up to four brain and spinal cord regions in freely behaving rodents. The microscope features four lightweight and flexible optical fiber bundles that weigh <1 g, with a connector design that allows for simple focus adjustment maintained for the duration of an experiment.
