Low-refractive-index polymers for microscopy by MY Polymers

Nov. 9, 2017
The BIO-133 Line polymers combine low refractive index of 1.33 and 1.34 with minimal cytotoxicity and fluorescence.

The BIO-133 Line polymers from MY Polymers (Ness Ziona , Israel) combine low refractive index of 1.33 and 1.34 with minimal cytotoxicity and fluorescence. The low index, which matches the index of water and cells, enables construction of 3D structures that do not degrade image quality in microscopy. Examples include construction of micro-chambers for live cell imaging and micro-pillars to measure forces between cells.
