Automated microscopy XY stages by Intellidrives

Jan. 30, 2012
Open Frame microscopy XY stages from Intellidrives provide motorized XY positioning of samples, enabling scanning speeds at 25 mm/s.

Open Frame microscopy XY stages from Intellidrives (Philadelphia, PA) provide motorized XY positioning of samples, enabling scanning speeds at 25 mm/s. Linear encoder feedback ensures correct positioning with a resolution of 0.1 µm and repeatability of 0.25 µm, while a motion controller allows positioning without vibration or shock to delicate biological samples under investigation. Features include a 45 mm profile, 188 × 188 mm footprint, and a large center opening. The stages are available with a stepper or brushless servo motor, with optional linear optical encoders.

High speed automated microscopy XY stages

IntelLiDrives Open Frame XY stages designed for the replacements of the manual stages found on the microscopes to provide motorized XY positioning of the microscopy samples. These motorized stages enable scanning speeds at 25 mm/s. The linear encoder feedback ensures correct positioning with a resolution of 0.1 µm and repeatability of 0.25 µm, while motion controller allows fast, smooth positioning without vibration or shock to delicate biological samples under investigation. Characterized by high-speed scanning capabilities and high positional accuracy, this stage is ideal for automated positioning of a wide range of specimens and samples in many types of microscopy and imaging techniques and applications. Very precise manual fine positioning is easily achieved through the combination of a computerized control system and associated joystick.

Features:

Low Profile: 45 mm Tall
Compact Footprint: 188 x 188 mm
Stepper or Brushless Servo Motor
Optional Linear Optical Encoders
High Repeatability (0.25 µm)
Large Center Opening
