Polarization-maintaining fiber for UV and blue wavelengths by Fibercore

Feb. 14, 2014
HB450-SC pure-silica-core, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber from Fibercore transmits ultraviolet (UV), violet, blue, and green wavelengths without the photodarkening effects that impact standard germanosilicate core fibers.

HB450-SC pure-silica-core, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber from Fibercore (Southampton, England) transmits ultraviolet (UV), violet, blue, and green wavelengths without the photodarkening effects that impact standard germanosilicate core fibers. The fiber is compatible with the company's MM125 end-cap fiber to enable output beam expansion, reducing high-power-density end effects. Typical applications include confocal microscopy, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, and environmental monitoring.
