The Laser Applied Stimulation and Uncaging (LASU) system from Scientifica enables combination of electrophysiology, optogenetics, and uncaging for studying advanced neuronal processes.

The Laser Applied Stimulation and Uncaging (LASU) system from Scientifica (Uckfield, East Sussex, England) enables combination of electrophysiology, optogenetics, and uncaging for studying advanced neuronal processes. LASU, which works with the company's SliceScope upright microscope, uses high-speed laser diode technology combined with triggering electronics and coupling optics. A choice of lasers for uncaging or photoactivation, or a combination of both, is available.
