The Envisu S4410 spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) system from Bioptigen (Morrisville, NC) delivers nondestructive, noncontact, full-immersion measurements for standard and high-complexity contact lenses, intraocular lens (IOL) structures, and donor tissues. The metrology system can image a complete contact lens immersed in a hydration bath (saline), perform automated segmentation of anterior and posterior surfaces, and quantify curvatures across both surfaces. It delivers 5 µm axial pixel resolution, 11 mm scan depth in saline, and a full 20 mm lateral field of view, and provides thickness precision to better than 1 µm and local curvature precision to 5 µm.
