The FASTCAM Multi microscopy camera system from Photron (San Diego, CA) is tethered to a remote processor available in 5 and 10 m cable lengths, with longer lengths planned. The small, sealed camera heads, which measure 69 x 70 x 145 mm each, enable image capture in confined spaces with megapixel resolution up to 6000 frames/s. Other frame rates are available up to 750,000 frames/s at reduced resolution. Applications include life sciences, biomechanics, and fluid dynamics.
