The UV-3600 Plus UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer for life science research from Shimadzu (Columbia, MD) incorporates a photomultiplier tube for ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) regions and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) and cooled lead sulfide (PbS) detectors for the near-infrared (NIR) region. A double monochromator makes it possible to attain an ultra-low stray light level (0.00005% max at 340 nm) with high resolution.
