    SEPTEMBER 14, 2008 -- Photon Engineering (Munich, Germany) is offering special pricing on its new FREDoptimum -- an update to its 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software for biophotonic systems design -- until the end of September. Until that time, FREDoptimum will be sold for the price of the older turbo version, a savings of 37%.

Until that time, FREDoptimum will be sold for the price of the older turbo version, a savings of 37%.

    The software was created to define and optimize the use of biomedical elements, and to help systems engineers study the operation of their designs. Based on new algorithms, FREDoptimum promises to optimize optical elements according to specific requirements.
