The DMC-30016 pocket motion controller from Galil Motion Control (Greenville, DE) combines a single-axis motion controller with a 1.4 A/phase stepper drive, and does not require an external heat sink. Specifications include a 125 µs servo loop update time, 15 MHz encoder frequency, and a 3 MHz stepper pulse output. Modes of motion include point-to-point positioning, position tracking, jogging, contouring, electronic gearing, Electronic CAM (ECAM), and process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) for nanopositioning applications in the life sciences.
