A multiple regions of interest (mROI) feature for EMCCD cameras has utility in applications such as bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) imaging.

A multiple regions of interest (mROI) feature by Nüvü Camēras (Montreal, QC, Canada) for the company's EMCCD cameras has utility in applications such as bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) imaging, and others that require both high speed and low-light sensitivity. The mROI feature enables adaptivity of the sensor's imaging area to better capture scattered dynamic eventsm allowing the selection of specific areas of the detector to perform acquisitions according to the activity across the field of view. Positioning of up to nine fully customizable ROIs on the detector at once is possible.
