The MR386 ZapFREE fiber optic microswitch from Micronor (Camarillo, CA) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and medical applications features an entirely non-electrical, totally passive sensor that provides electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) immunity. Its non-metallic construction is designed for use inside the bore and is magnetically invisible to the MRI process. With a temperature range of -5° to 60°C, it targets medical, hospital, laboratory, and instrumentation applications.
