The DEPArray NxT digital cell sorting system by Menarini-Silicon Biosystems (Bologna, Italy) precisely isolates rare cells from heterogeneous blood and tissue samples, enabling downstream analysis of live or fixed cells for applications such as cancer genomics, forensics, and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis. The benchtop system consists of an electronic control module, a fluorescence microscope, a CCD camera, software, and a single-use microfluidic cartridge. It includes an external barcode reader for sample-positive identification and unambiguous operator identification, automatic report generation, and advanced tools for image analysis.
