    A line of standard and custom electro-ceramic hemispheres and hollow spheres from PI (Physik Instrumente; Auburn, MA) has uses in medical engineering, as well as in instrumentation for removing dental plaque. The hemispheres and hollow spheres are available with an outside diameter range from 10 to 60 mm and 1 mm wall thickness. Made from ferroelectric soft or hard piezo materials, the components can be custom-designed to match individual application requirements.
