The Flame-NIR miniature spectrometer from Ocean Optics (Dunedin, FL) pairs an uncooled indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) array detector with a small optical bench for spectral response from 950 to 1650 nm. A replaceable slit design allows utility in a wide range of near-infrared (NIR) applications in biotechnology, medical diagnostics, and other life sciences. The spectrometer performs various measurements, including glucose monitoring, cancer diagnosis, and blood circulation, and integrates into point-of-care devices.
