The HSL-1 electrically pumped vertical cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) from Santec (Komaki, Aichi, Japan) has uses in swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) and spectroscopy applications. Features include a 1060 nm wavelength range, ultra-long coherence length, variable scan speed, and low signal noise.
