Tech transfer center dedicates Canada's most powerful fiber laser to applied R&D

June 8, 2009--IPG Photonics Corp. (Oxford, MA) says it has delivered the first ten kilowatt fiber laser in the Canadian market to The Centre spécialisé de technologie physique du Québec Inc. (CSTPQ, La Pocatière, Quebec, Canada), one of Canada's largest college centers for technology transfer. This laser, the most powerful of its kind in Canada, will be dedicated to applied research, development and technology transfer towards manufacturing companies.
