Quantel Group consolidates non-medical businesses with new division

Les Ulis, France--The Quantel Group, a global provider of laser solutions to the industrial, scientific, and medical communities since 1970, has created a new division in order to consolidate its business operations in the non-medical arena. The Industrial and Scientific Laser Division, includes Quantel USA (Bozeman, MT), Quantel Laser Diodes (Marcoussis, France), Quantel Fiber Laser R&D (Lannion, France), and the Contracts, R&D and Manufacturing activities of Quantel in Les Ulis.

Patrick Maine, the current CEO of Quantel USA (formerly Big Sky Laser), has recently been appointed Executive Vice President of the newly created Industrial and Scientific Laser Division.

Following the creation of this Division, Philippe Aubourg, previously Sales Director of Quantel-Les Ulis, France has been promoted to Vice President for Sales, Alain Diard is now Vice President for Strategic Business Development, and Kamran Mobarhan, currently Sales and Marketing Director of Quantel USA (formerly Big Sky Laser) has been appointed Vice President, Marketing and Product Management.
