Onetta Signs AMS Technologies Distribution Agreement

(www.onetta.com), a developer and manufacturer of Intelligent Optical Engines (IOEs), has expanded its sales initiatives into the European market by entering into a distribution agreement with AMS Technologies AG. Headquartered in Munich, Germany with additional offices in Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, AMS Technologies is one of Europe's leading distributors of optical/electronic components and systems. The terms of the distribution agreement also include technical and application support, and design services from AMS Technologies.

To further accelerate its sales penetration into Europe, Onetta has named Dr. Peter Thorn, Director, European Sales and Business Development. Dr. Thorn, who is located in the United Kingdom, will be responsible for positioning Onetta's portfolio of intelligent products, including C and L band EDFAs, Raman amplifiers, and DGE subsystems with incumbent and emerging network equipment manufacturers throughout Europe. Prior to joining Onetta, Dr. Thorn served as Director of Product Portfolio Management for Nortel Networks' High Performance Optical Components (HPOC) group.
