Miniature fiber endoscopes offer a clear view inside the body

Jan. 1, 1995
Endoscope manufacturers have recently developed new miniature fiberoptic endoscopes targeted for obstetric and gynecological (OB/GYN) applications. These miniendoscopes (less than 2 mm in diameter) are overcoming problems of poor illumination and resolution, typical of previous small endoscopes. Advances in optics, fiberoptics, and lightsource coupling are the primary reasons.

New very small fiberoptic endoscopes will improve obstetric and gynecological procedures.
