Despite sales increases of more than 20% in the past four quarters and revenues of $5.85 million, the profit margin at Luxtec (Worcester, MA) needs to be improved to remain competitive, according to president James Hobbs. The company manufactures specialized fiberoptic lighting devices, such as surgical headlights.
