Impact splice kit

Sept. 1, 1995
The VISKit impact fiberoptics splice kit uses impact-mount technology for all-mechanical nonepoxy mounting. Metal ends are crimped around the fiber and aligned in a sleeve. The alignment sleeve is crimped to a Kevlar cover, which also crimps to the cable jacket to secure the ends of the splice. It involves no heat and no epoxy, and it can be installed in the field.
