Corning to offer more fiberoptic components

Because of changes in the marketplace and to bolster its fiberopticcomponents market share, Corning Incorporated (Corning, NY) will expand its component product line within the next year. Corning`s Michael Reunert says, "Sales of fiberoptic components across the industry have not met growth expectations. Basically, the huge growth in the use of fiberoptic components such as couplers depends on growing demand for broadband services, which may take a few years. For example, many people wanting video on demand or video conferencing that would call for fiber to the curb or home might boost the demand."
