(Newport, RI). An average of 65,000 route-km to 75,000 route-km of new cable systems will be put into service each year. The report, Fiberoptics Markets in Europe, predicts that double-digit growth rates for Europe will continue through 2001, when the market will reach $2.73 billion--more than twice the 1996 market size.
