A new version of the company`s E6000A mini-OTDR test instrument increases the installation and maintenance options for telecommunications and fiberoptic wide-area networks. Three modules are available. The E6005A and E6009A multimode modules test popular multimode fibers at both 850 and 1300 nm, with dead zones of less than 3 m. The E6006A optical-power-meter module weighs 130 g, provides a measurement range of 10 dB down to -70 dBm, with 5% accuracy and 0.01-dB resolution.
