Laurel, NJ) entered a joint development agreement that allows Siemens to offer SONET connectivity. Siemens will integrate Positron`s Osiris SONET technology in the Siemens MultiLink access product family. In related news, Siemens Telecom Networks formed a Transport Networks Business Unit specifically to go after the North American transport market. The group, officially started October 1, is building a staff and leveraging resources to compete with incumbent vendors of SONET terminals and wavelength-division-multiplexing equipment.
