The Laser Institute of America (Orlando, FL), secretariat and publisher of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z136 series of laser-safety standards, has released the newly revised ANSI Z136.2-1997 Safe Use of Optical Fiber Communication Systems Utilizing Laser Diode and LED Sources.
