• Coated silica fiber

Polyimide-coated silica/silica fiber is available in both low and high OH designs. Two designs with different cladding and buffer sizes surround the 200-µm core: users can choose 200/220/240 (core/clad/buffer) or 200/240/260 construction. The polyimide buffer bonds with most adhesives and is resistant to organic solvents. Operating temperature ranges from -190°C to 310°C. The fiber has a numerical aperture of 0.22 ۪.02. Maximum attenuation at 820 nm is 12 dB/km.
