    In an agreement worth approximately $17 million, SpecTran Corp. (Sturbridge, MA) will produce a specified amount of multimode optical fiber for Corning Incorporated (Corning, NY). The deliveries will supplement Corning`s multimode-fiber production. The contract duration is three years, but the terms could be fulfilled sooner if delivery is accelerated.
