The FPL-01T erbium-doped fiber laser is tunable from 1532 to 1565 nm, which makes it useful for testing telecommunications components and systems. The output pulsewidth is 500 to 900 fs, and the laser has low timing jitter of 0.3 ps and low amplitude noise. The polarization-maintaining fiber construction allows turnkey operation.
