Fiber laser

Nov. 1, 1998
A 1-µm distributed-feedback rare-earth-doped fiber laser, the IFL01W1E-HP1000 yields a narrow linewidth of less than 500 kHz. The single-mode fiber laser also offers a signal-to-noise ratio of 60 dB and output power levels of 20 mW. The laser can be used to replace solid-state lasers. Fiber lasers with customer-specified wavelengths between 1.01 and 1.08 µm can be provided as well.
