Dubbed the “Oscars of the Photonics Industry,” the 2022 Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation shone a spotlight this week on some of the most ground-breaking, cutting-edge technology and products — and the innovators who developed them.
For the first time in two years, the event (as well as the Photonics West trade show and conference) was held in person at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Spanning 10 categories, a total of 30 companies and their products were among more than 100 applicants judged by a panel of 33 industry executives, researchers, scientists, and other photonics industry experts.
