Quanergy names distributor for its lidar offerings in Western U.S.

IP-Tech will now offer Quanergy’s high-performance lidar platform, along with their existing automation portfolio.

Lidar sensors and smart-perception solutions provider Quanergy Systems (Sunnyvale, CA) has entered a distribution partnership with robotic automation company In-Position Technologies (IP-Tech; Chandler, AZ) to provide lidar solutions for industrial automation, including material handling, logistics, and mining applications in the Western U.S.

Lidar-based solutions are gaining in popularity for factory and warehouse automation applications that require accurate, reliable 3D perception, such as package profiling, mobile equipment navigation, and collision avoidance, explains Neil Jacques, President of IP-Tech.

Quanergy is the first lidar solution provider to partner with IP-Tech. In addition to its hardware 3D lidar sensors, Quanergy provides its perception software for industrial, material handling and logistics, and mining applications. IP-Tech will now offer Quanergy’s high-performance lidar platform, along with their existing automation portfolio, to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency for their customers.
