São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics – SPSAS-NQP

The São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics – SPSAS-NQP will be held at the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics of the State University of Campinas (IFGW-UNICAMP) in São Paulo state, Brazil.

SPSAS-NQP will provide two weeks of intensive learning. Selected participants will join lectures and experimental courses taught by leading global experts in nanophotonics, nonlinear optics, and quantum optics. Main topics include quantum optics and information, nonclassical states of light, integrated photonics, quantum networks and communication, optomechanics and hybrid quantum systems, and quantum sensing and imaging.

The event features intensive activities including laser-shot noise calibration and optical frequency comb generation; dedicated "Lunch & Discussion" breaks to allow deep interaction between students and experts; as well as dedicated poster sessions where students have an opportunity to discuss their research.

The discussions at the School will benefit greatly from the participation of internationally renowned researchers as keynote speakers, such as Prof. Marko Loncar (Harvard University – USA); Prof. Pascal Del’Haye (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light – Germany); Prof. Simon Gröblacher (TU Delft – Netherlands); Prof. Yanne Chembo (University of Maryland – USA), Alejandro Feinstein (Instituto Balseiro – Argentina), Ewold Verhagen (Center for Nanophotonics at AMOLF – Netherlands), among others.
