Optica (formerly OSA), in partnership with the American Physical Society’s Division of Laser Science (DLS), present Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science (FiO + LS). The conference, which also serves as the Optica Annual Meeting, unites communities from both societies for comprehensive and current research in a diverse collection of optics and photonics topics and across the disciplines of physics, biology, and chemistry. FIO + LS provides attendees from around the world with the opportunity to network, present, learn, and connect.

Call for papers is open!

Having your moment at the podium is more accessible than you think. We know that your research requires considerable effort, which is why submitting a paper to present that research does not. That's why we've made the submission process efficient. Follow these simple steps to prepare and submit your research by June 6, 2023 at 12 p.m. ET for consideration to present.

1. Prepare a title and a 35-word abstract – summarize your paper topic in a quick and concise 35-words.

2. Write a 2-page summary – plan on uploading your summary in PDF format to our submission site.

3. Choose your presentation preference and select your topic category – select from oral presentation, or poster, then review the list of topics organized and determine where your research best aligns with the technical program.

4. Add the co-authors of your research – create a quick list of your co-authors and their affiliations.

5. Review and submit – give your submission a once-over to ensure it looks perfect, then click submit.
