ENCY Academy Expands Technical Training with 21 Courses for CNC and Robotics

Limassol, Cyprus, January 29, 2026 — ENCY Software has expanded ENCY Academy (https://learn.encycam.com/), its technical training platform focused on accelerating time-to-productivity for CNC and robotic programmers. Since the Academy launched six months ago, 21 courses have been published.

The program is structured around practical manufacturing workflows, with course sequencing designed to shorten the onboarding curve for both new and experienced programmers.

To reduce the most common causes of delays in CAM and robot programming, ENCY Academy starts with shared essentials for CNC and robotics:

  • ENCY interface training to speed navigation and reduce operator error
  • 3D model import workflows to ensure clean geometry intake
  • Design module essentials for quick sketches and simple modeling tasks without leaving ENCY — useful for production adjustments and fast iterations
  • Custom tools, tool holders, and fixtures to improve digital setup accuracy and reduce mismatches between CAM planning and shop-floor reality

CNC modules

CNC learning modules begin with foundational programming and gradually introduce more complex kinematics and strategy selection:

  • 3-Axis Milling establishes the baseline for conventional milling workflows and operation setup in ENCY
  • Twin-Spindle Turning introduces turning fundamentals in a production context
  • 4-Axis Milling and 4-Axis Surface Machining help users adopt multi-axis workflows without adding unnecessary complexity
  • Hole Machining addresses high-frequency production features — drilling, boring, and related strategies

Robot modules

Robot courses are organized to remove uncertainty around motion and kinematics first, then build capability through progressively more advanced toolpaths:

  • Launching a first robot project establishes correct project structure and baseline configuration
  • Redundant Axis Mapping explains how ENCY handles robot kinematics and redundancy to improve predictability and control in multi-axis motion
  • Core machining/trimming skills are developed through 2D and 3D Milling and 2D/3D/6D Contouring
  • Advanced courses extend into 4D rotary machining and 5D machining of STL models

MachineMaker modules: digital machine configuration

Machine definition is often the gating factor for fast deployment. ENCY Academy’s MachineMaker block covers how machine definitions are built and maintained in ENCY, including:

  • MachineMaker fundamentals and the overall definition workflow
  • Building a dual-turret lathe, a 3-axis milling machine from CAD data, and setting up a five-axis milling machine

What’s next

Planned additions over the next few months include courses on 5-axis milling, live-axis mill/turn operations, and Swiss machining. ENCY Software is also developing “super courses” that guide users through complete start-to-finish manufacturing projects, combining multiple programming methods and components. Detailed technique breakdowns will be published as separate reference lessons to keep the main project flow focused while still providing deep technical coverage.
