Hangzhou Shalom EO offers a variety of Waveplates for altering the polarization state of the transmitting light. The products we provide include: True Zero Order, Zero Order, Dual Wavelength Zero Order Waveplates, Low Order Waveplates and Achromatic Waveplates, Super Achromatic Waveplates. These waveplates are made from quartz and MgF2 crystals, with Cemented, Air-Spaced or Optically-contacted design. Both off-the-shelf and customized modules are available.
To be more detailed, Zero-order waveplates have wider temperature/incident angle/wavelength operation ranges than Low Order Waveplates, and they are constructed of two single waveplates with their axes crossed. On the other hand, achromatic wave plates uses two different kinds of materials and offers a constant phase shift independent of the used wavelength.
Super Achromatic Waveplates are devised based on the same principle as that of the Achromatic Waveplates, but consist of six plates rather than two as in the case of the Achromatic Waveplates, which enables them to perform virtually flat retardation over an extremely broad wavelength range.
