The well-known BOROFLOAT® 33 borosilicate glass from SCHOTT is now available at special thicknesses of 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm from Präzisions Glas & Optik GmbH. The flatness and surface quality of this flat glass, which are already outstanding, now make it possible to use BOROFLOAT® in numerous applications where thinner glass thicknesses are required and costs must be kept under control. Until now, these thin glass thicknesses could only be achieved by polishing thicker borosilicate glass down, which incurred additional costs.
