    Early 2021, Dr. Henrik Ehlers joined the German coating specialist LASEROPTIK GmbH in Garbsen. As designated head of R&D he is responsible for the future technological focus on processes and products aiming to strengthen innovation and strategic development. Key aspects are further improvements in LIDT, spectral performance and additional coating as well as metrology solutions.

    Before, Henrik Ehlers served as head of the process development group at the research institute Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. for almost 20 years. As a physicist dedicated to optical coatings, he gained extensive experience in all relevant fields of thin-film research and related laser applications.

    LASEROPTIK's president Dr. Wolfgang Ebert states: “We are glad to welcome Henrik on board after so many successful years of fruitful cooperation as our external research partner.”
