Universe Laser Lens assemblies and elements are available in standard combinations of focal lengths, wavelength, and barrel styles. We offer both glass and plastic aspheric designs to fill most typical application requirements. Our collimating lenses for diode lasers are ideal for a wide variety of instrumentation and gaging applications. Cylinder and rod lenses are available for beam sharpening, astigmatism correction, and line generation with diode lasers.

Since the early growth of semiconductor laser technology in the 1980s, Universe Optics has developed laser collimating lenses, barcode reader optics, and custom optical components for demanding applications.
Initially, Universe Optics made the LP-01, a compact 4.5 mm, three-element collimating lens that shaped laser diode output into a narrow beam capable of projecting a visible red dot 10 to 20 meters away. As applications evolved, Universe expanded its lineup into specialized collimating and projection lenses for commercial, industrial, and scientific applications.

- LP-02: 8mm laser collimating lens. Used in air and water particle testing.
- LC-50S / LC-50C: 50mm laser collimating lens. Used in coal mines for safety verification equipment.
- Other focal lengths from 2.56mm to 50mm are available.
