PRESS RELEASE
RAPTOR PHOTONICS LTD LAUNCHES A NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE 4.2 MEGAPIXEL COOLED SCIENTIFIC CMOS CAMERA
Northern Ireland
Raptor Photonics Ltd. (Raptor) announces the full release of its Osprey Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera, OS4MPc-CL.
The Osprey features a 2k x 2k low noise sCMOS sensor that stands out with its extreme sensitivity, high resolution, high speed and excellent Quantum Efficiency. The camera uses a 12 bit A/D converter, runs with a global shutter and offers a standard CameraLink output up to 37.5Hz full frame.
“The OSPREY camera offers outstanding performance for low light applications, such as high-resolution fluorescence imaging, life cell imaging, bio chemi-luminescence, astronomy, electrophoresis, X-ray and hyperspectral imaging” says Mark Donaghy, VP Sales & Marketing at Raptor.
“This is one of the smallest and lightest sCMOS cameras on the market, offering the best available price performance solution. It also offers one of the best QEs at 64% @ 600nm. We think this offers the market a very competitive camera; sCMOS offers enhanced performance relative to a standard interline CCD with a large field of view, superior resolution and fast speeds / frame rates, without compromising sensitivity you should consider CMOS. So far we are getting terrific feedback from our customers.” he adds.
