Photocathodes from Photonis lower dark counts up to 10X

March 25, 2016
Hi-QE photocathodes increase quantum efficiency (QE) 50% compared to standard S20 photocathodes.

Hi-QE photocathodes increase quantum efficiency (QE) 50% compared to standard S20 photocathodes, while lowering dark counts up to 10X with near-symmetrical pulse height distribution. Currently, spectral ranges cover UV, blue, and green wavelengths. Designed for use in very low-light applications, they are offered as an option on several of the company's photon counting products.
