One set of UVtron ultraviolet sensors senses light in the range of 185?260 nm to detect flames and corona discharge from high-voltage power lines. The flame sensor is designed to MIL-STD-202F shock and vibration requirements and can operate from ?20!C to 125!C. Other UVtron models sense from 160 to 300 nm and can detect power as low as 1 pW. Service lifetimes are more than 10,000 h.
