Dualspeed digital camera

Dual analogtodigital converters on the Penta MAX Camera System are optimized for speed and dynamic range to provide two readout speeds from a single unit. The highspeed mode collects 12bit images at 5 MH¥(5 million pixels/s), while the precision mode collects lower noise data at 1 MHz. Users switch between modes instantly. Images can be transferred to the computer via a highspeed serial link for display and storage. A frame buffer with standard video output is included. This digital camera offers thermoelectric cooling for minimum noise during long exposure periods. A variety of chargecoupleddevice arrays are supported, including 1317 ¥ 1035pixel and 758 ¥ 512pixel formats.
