Kodak to supply high-resolution camera for commercial satellite

Space Imaging (Thornton, CO) has selected Eastman Kodak Co. (Rochester, NY) to supply the digital camera for its commercial remote-sensing satellite, scheduled for launch in late 1997. The imaging system will provide 1-m panchromatic (gray-scale) resolution and 4-m four-band multispectral (red, green, blue, and near-infrared) resolution compared to the 10-30-m resolution that is currently available. Space Imaging (Thornton, CO) has selected Eastman Kodak Co. (Rochester, NY) to supply the digital camera for its commercial remote-sensing satellite, scheduled for launch in late 1997. The imaging system will provide 1-m panchromatic (gray-scale) resolution and 4-m four-band multispectral (red, green, blue, and near-infrared) resolution compared to the 10-30-m resolution that is currently available.
