    The R5900 photomultiplier tube can be PC-board mounted, measuring 20 mm high and 28 mm square. The effective photocathode area is 18 ¥ 18 mm, and the devices use metal channel dynodes with a gain of 6 ¥ 106. Anode luminous sensitivity is 42 A/lm, and transit time spread (FWHM) is 0.33 ns. The R5900 is geared for compact, low-cost applications in fluorescent and medical imagery and fiberoptic sensors.
