The 1A391 PIN photodiode detects 1300 nm with a responsivity of 0.8 A/W in wavelength-division-multiplexing applications while suppressing detection at 1550 nm (responsivity of 0.001 A/W). The device works with fiber cores as large as 100 µm without loss of responsivity and with a bandwidth of 2 GHz.
