• IR remote-control receivers

A single chip that receives IR remote-control signals is available in either upright (SBX8025) or horizontal (SBX8020) configurations. The sensors support frequencies from 36 to 40 kHz. The chips run on 5-V power supplies and have typical 1.1-A current draw. Internal electrostatic shielding protect the photodiode and circuitry. The devices have a maximum range of 6 to 8 m.
