UV detector arrays

March 1, 1997
Arrays of detectors sensitive in the ultraviolet are made of silicon carbide. The arrays have 1 ¥ 1-mm elements with a 0.12-mm ga¥between elements. At 254 nm the detectors have an absolute sensitivity of about 0.14 A/W, and the arrays have an effective spectral range from 210 to 380 nm. Arrays are made to customer specifications.
